Brique opens the EP in mighty fine fashion. Rave vocals straight from the wilderness of 90s outdoor raves occupy the fore, while crunchy drum work and a dinging synth melodic line bounces around the track. S Olbricht’s remix breaks up the drums and adds space to track, allowing individual elements to thrive. ‘Innerside’ is a bumpy affair, fit with shuffling percussion where everything feels back in the mix. The cooing vocals are cute and effective. On ‘Gonnaarp’ it is all about the hanging chords. They’re blissful. The simple, jackin’ percussion is effective as is the vocal loop that comes in intermittently.
